The Rosebud Hospital team do a brilliant job, even though they are working from a health care facility which is in desperate need of an upgrade.
Rosebud hospital deals with 22,000 presentations a year, exceeds capacity 53% of the time.
The recent Australian Institute of Health and Welfare cause of death report showed the greatest cause of death on the Peninsula was from Coronary Heart disease followed by dementia, strokes and lung cancer.
For Rosebud Hospital to effectively deal with these health care needs of Peninsula residents then any upgrade of the precinct needs to focus on these areas as a priority.
An upgraded Rosebud Hospital will meet the needs of our community for decades to come and will ensure that Peninsula residents have access to the modern, specialist health care services we deserve.
A Rosebud hospital upgrade will be a core priority for me over the next term of government should I be elected to as the Member for Nepean in the upcoming state election.
