The Liberal Nationals have announced that if elected they will commit $790,000 to construct a satellite CFA station to service the community of St Andrews Beach.
A new medium tanker will be housed in a purpose built station on land provided by the St Andrews Beach Golf Club.
The location of the satellite station will provide greater access for local CFA volunteers to attend fires within the required time and enhance fire security for the residents of St Andrews Beach.
While Labor has been going to war with our volunteer firefighters, the Liberals will continue to support them.
Comments attributable to Shadow Minister for Emergency Services, Brad Battin:
A Matthew Guy – led government will ensure that the community of St Andrews Beach is kept safe from the threat of fire.
While Daniel Andrews is at war with CFA volunteers, the Liberal Nationals are getting on with funding CFA stations and keep Victorians safe.
Comments attributable to Liberal Candidate for Nepean, Russell Joseph:
After a devastating house fire over Christmas, the community of St Andrews Beach know too well the need for a satellite station in their township.
I’ve been working hard with Matthew Guy’s team to ensure that local communities are kept safe.
